It’s always a challenge, and a great joy, to try and  paint a set up, that is so rich in colour and value, that it’s almost too much.  This was my objective with this small still life painting.  With the lemons and orange under the studio lamp, there was a real glow of cadmium lemon yellow and cadmium orange.  The glass bottle is there for a bit of refraction, and some juicy specular highlights, to add to the vibrancy of the painting.
