One afternoon, in my old studio, on the other side of Florence, I happened to glance behind me, from where I was  painting, in the direction of where I had a collection of various objects that I keep for still life painting set-ups.  Quite by chance, this collection of objects had been place in this arrangement, and I knew it was going to be a painting.
