In this still life painting, I wanted to use this beautiful ceramic saki bottle, to act as the central object against the presence of two clementines.  One of the clementines is peeled, with a single segment separated out from the mass of segments. Centrally placed, and much closer to the viewer is a piece of the peeled skin of the clementine. This acts as a pointer to draw the eye into the composition.
