I made my way  early one morning to the church of San Miniato al Monte, perched above the city of Florence.  I set up in the shade of the church and painted the splendid panorama over the Duomo and across the city.  I had a good chat with Abbot, who is in charge of the monastery attached, he seemed impressed by my efforts.
